The Man Behind the Cuts...

Coming from humble beginnings, Kelvin began to cut while most boys still had to be in before the streetlights came on. Fran’s Braiding and Weaving in Sacramento, CA is where it all began. Forced to sit in his mother Franzell’s shop to stay out of trouble, Kelvin bonded with the other male barbers. At the age of 12, he began perfecting his craft by cutting hair for free. A decade later, Kelvin has become one of the most sought after barbers in Los Angeles.

         People, relationships and friends are what Kelvin values most. Though it may appear simplistic, he lives by the motto, “treat others the way you want to be treated.” This innovative entrepreneur has just opened his first shop called In The Zone Barbershop, located in Granada Hills, California. “There is no better feeling than when a person gets out of my chair feeling like a new person.”
